That is why Martha Britt from Volvo Trucks North America has been on a fact-finding visit to the Volvo World Match Play Championship and Volvo Masters Amateur Final, with a view to Volvo USA adding to the commonwealth of nations taking part in the world’s most prestigious amateur golf series.
“We use golf a great deal within and around Volvo Trucks North America and we have some thoughts as to how we might engage with the Volvo Masters Amateur from 2011 onwards,” says Martha, explaining, “We also hope to be able to persuade our Volvo Group partners, Volvo Buses, Volvo Financial Services, Volvo Construction Equipment and Mack Trucks to join with us in the exciting initiative.”
She concludes, “It has been a fascinating fact-finding trip, the quality has been fantastic whilst the atmosphere and the hospitality has been second-to-none.”
As Martha Britt prepares to head back across the Atlantic, Per Ericsson, President & CEO, Volvo Event Management said, “As we seek to grow the Volvo Masters Amateur, we need to attract new markets, in both Volvo Cars and Volvo Group and having Volvo North America on board would be a huge development.”
